7 Tiktok Internet Challenges to Help you Fight Boredom
Tiktok took internet challenges to a whole new level. We created a list of 7 hashtags to use to entertain yourself at home when there’s literally nothing else to do.
Internet challenges are taking over memes as the cure for boredom. Ok, let's not compare apples to oranges, but still. Tiktok challenges like #fliptheswitch have been shared millions if not billions of times.
Take advantage of the platform (while you can) with some of our favorite Tiktok hashtags and challenges in 2020.
Are you the guy who’s always late, or the lady who’s kind of shady? Put yourself in someone else’s shoes by flipping the script. Talk about yourself the way other people probably see you. We made ours rhyme.
This is one that you just have to watch to get it and even then you might not get it. But let me try to explain. Pick up a cat (or dog or other pet) like it’s a phone. Lip sync to the phrase, “Gupta, the Queen is Coming.” Then hang up the phone (cat). And that’s it. The sound comes from the 2001 movie starring Anne Hathaway, “The Princess Diaries.” Tiktoker Maddie Young created the original using her dog’s paw as the telephone.
You know how your feelings "melt away" in response to something someone says or does? Just add the purple flame effect and dance to show your sadness, anger, depression or anxiety leaving your body. (This one works best with sarcasm.)
List some things that you’ve done around a theme. The script goes something like this… “Put a finger down if you ever (insert something shocking).” Make it personal or better yet, make it a thrift edition.
Remember being stuck at home most of the time because of the quarantine? Considering things haven’t changed much since then, you might like this one. Show how you beat boredom at home to the track “Bored at home bored” by Curtis Roach and Tyga.
Even if it’s not quite an internet challenge, this is right in our lane, so I wanted to mention it. Do something creative with your thrifted finds. Alter them, crop them, bleach them—surprise us. Make sure it’s something easy, though. (We’re not talking haute couture!)
There are two ways people are using this hashtag. One is to do an optical illusion. The other is wearing lots of hats. We went with option number two.
What’s your favorite internet challenge? Tell us in the comments.
Good news for Goodfairians! We made a bundle just for you. Wear our recycled threads proudly in your next Tiktok.
