Sourcing

Research and development are struggling to find reliable solutions for recycling textile fibers and cannot keep up with the upward trend of fast fashion manufacturing. This is where Goodfair comes in.

step 2

We save the best

Bales are popped and then graded into 3 buckets:

Good to go!

Damaged, printed with inappropriate content, or stained beyond help — we try to repurpose these items as best we can.

Surface stains that can likely be soaked or washed out — we send these items to be laundered and then they are re-evaluated for sale.

step 4

we send it to you

Our pickers pack your purchase just for you — no two orders are alike!

step 1

We stop clothing on its way to landfills

There are so many recycled clothes already in circulation. Thrift stores like Goodwill are only able to retail about 20% of the clothes donated to them and the rest are shipped unseen to massive textile recyclers, most of which are in Houston, TX. As an online thrift store with no physical location, we work directly with these textile recycling companies and other partners to purchase these amazing preloved clothes before they are exported, the majority of which end up in landfills overseas. We purchase product categories of thrifted items that arrive at our warehouse in large bales which can be 1 ton or more.

step 3

we organize it

Each piece of used clothing is resized to our Goodfair True Size Standards and then they are folded, counted, and stored.
